The question for Dxdiag is that what is it stands for so Its stands for DirectX diagnostics. Dxdiag is an Microsoft tool in windows which allow you to view directx and windows System information which includes Sound card and video card information. Below you can see the picture of it.

The dxdiag also have few command options,Which are as shown the below

Syntax:

dxdiag [/dontskip] [/whql:on] [/whql:off] [/64bit] [/x outfile] [/t outfile]

/x outfile     It Save XML information to <outfile> and quit.
/t outfile     Will save txt information to <outfile> and quit.
/dontskip     Don't bypass any diagnostics due to previous crashes in DxDiag.
/whql:on     *Allow dxdiag to check for WHQL digital signatures.
/whql:off     *Don't allow dxdiag to check for WHQL digital signatures.

 Note: If You want To Check for WHQL digital signatures it may connect via Internet to update WHQL certificates.

/64bit     Launch 64-bit dxdiag.
